Samsung has announced that its two new smartphones as well as a virtual-reality headset will be commercially available in October 2014. The Galaxy Note 4 is equipped with a Quad-HD display having a pixel resolution of 2560×1440 along with a Super AMOLED screen. It has a screen size of 5.7 inches, and its pixel density has been increased from 386 ppi to an astounding 515 ppi. Meanwhile, the Note Edge is equipped with a 5.6-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440. It has a Quad HD+ display. The device allows users to quickly access used apps, alerts and device functionality even at the time when the cover is closed or the screen is locked. The Galaxy Note 4 is available in two versions with one having a 2.7 GHz quad-core one and the second one with a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note Edge is available in only one version with a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor. Sony launched three new devices during the show – the Xperia Z3 smartphone, the 4.6-inch Xperia Z3 Compact and the 8-inch Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The devices are likely to be available in the market this fall; however, not much information has been provided on their pricing. Meanwhile, the Japanese company also showcased its Smartwatch 3 that will run on 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. The device will be equipped with 1.6 inch display as well as its trademarked IP68 waterproof standard. Taiwanese PC manufacturer Acer launched three new tablets during the electronics show. It showcased several convertible notebooks that have the capability to flip, swivel or even detach their screens completely. The company also unveiled its Revo One, a PC cum home entertainment hub. Its Liquid Z500 smartphone was also featured in the show that is being claimed as the smallest and lightest 5-inch device around. ASUS has finally announced the launch of its much-awaited smartwatch ASUS ZenWatch, which is powered by Android. The ZenWatch is among the most attractive devices by the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer. It is equipped with a 1.63 inch AMOLED display having a pixel resolution of 320 x 320. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor as well as sports 4 GB of ROM and 512 MB of RAM.
