Considering the leaked rumors surrounding the device, the Nexus 7 2 might not be a breakthrough tab that users would love to splurge on. Coming in competition with Apple’s iPad Mini and iPad Mini 2, Google will have to roll out the Nexus 7 2 with powerful specifications to make its device outshine the former. Running a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, the Nexus 7 2 is expected to hold 2GB of RAM with in-built storage of up to 32GB. The device is expected to come in 16GB and 32GB variants so the storage space is limited. Its rivals such as Apple offer 64GB of storage space in iPad Mini and 128GB in the iPad. This 7-inch tab will roll out with a 1,980 x 1,200 display and a 5-megapixel camera at the rear with 1.2-megapixel at the front, which might be a disappointment for those who have a better camera quality in their smartphones. Considering the software, Google was expected to house the latest Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie but we hear, the Nexus 7 2 will hold Android 4.3 Jelly Bean instead, which is just a minor update. It seems like Google is following the same tradition of not including a microSD card slot in the device, which is missing in the existing Nexus 7 as well. The device is also rumored to sport the same design as its predecessor; the Nexus 7.
