Although we still have no clue as to when we would finally see Apple launching the next generation iPad and iPad Mini tablets, we’ve kept ourselves busy digging through these 34 new patents to see which of them could be implemented in these upcoming devices. An interesting finding we came across was about an improved battery life for them. There’s also information on an interface between iOS and iTunes designed especially for multitouch devices. The patent describes technology that could help conserve the device’s power during the use of the Movie section of iTunes, ensuring longer battery life. The interface bears a striking resemblance to the one used in the iPhone 5, iPad Mini and the iPad 4. But the slight differences mentioned make us wonder if this is something that could feature in the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5. As screen resolutions continue to increase and the processors become more powerful, a longer battery life becomes the order of the day, and looks like Apple could make something work here.
