Up to now, 9-inch devices have dominated the tab market, which makes for over 60 percent of all tabs shipped in 2012. However, in 2013, the smaller tablets are likely to report for over 60 percent of shipments. The success of 7.9-inch iPad mini tabs could be the main factor boosting the shift to 8-inch tablets. With a range of smaller tabs all gearing up for the Q3 launch, it seems like we as consumers are going to be in for a spicy treat.
