From the leaked images, we can see that this device is powered by a 1.66 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB RAM, making it more powerful than the iPad Mini. Its design has striking similarities with the Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Note 10.1, and with its 8-inch screen, it seems to fit in perfectly in the middle between these two devices. It’s also got S-Pen capabilities and has a slot for it in the back of the device. Now, one thing that surprised us is the lack of LTE connectivity – apparently, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will work only on 3G networks, which could be a bit of a downer. Running on the latest Android Jelly Bean version, we’re expecting it to be priced quite competitively, a huge advantage over the rather pricey iPad Mini. Hopefully, we can expect Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Note 8.0 officially during the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013 to be held at Barcelona in February.
