Apple iPhone 5: No surprises there, the iPhone just has to feature among the top camera phones year after year. Just when we thought Apple can’t make things better, it goes ahead to amaze us with every upgrade. The iPhone 5 features an 8 MP camera with advanced features like 360 degree panorama, HDR modes, face detection, photo editing apps, and color balance equalization, to name a few. Samsung Galaxy S3: The Samsung Galaxy S3 was one of the best smartphones launched this year, and its camera was just as exceptional as the phone itself. The 8 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash comes with smile and face detection capabilities, image stabilization, burst mode, and in-video photo capture features. The Galaxy S3’s camera clicks absolutely sharp, clear images even in low-light conditions, and deserves a spot in our top 5 list without a doubt. Nokia 808 PureView: The phone itself may not have made headlines, considering its Symbian OS offering. But its camera was groundbreaking in terms of technology in the world of camera phones. The 41 MP sensor which reproduced images at up to 38 MP resolution ensured that you clicked true-to-life images, no matter what the conditions were. It’s lossless zoom also allowed for capturing clear images from a distance and full HD video recording was just the cherry on top of the cake! HTC One X: We loved the 8 MP camera on board the HTC One X, especially because of its LED flash that offered five levels of brightness. The autofocus camera with a 28 mm lens, a dedicated imaging chip, and full HD video recording that also let us record video in slow motion and capture still images in the midst of recording, was an absolute delight to use. Sony Xperia Arc S: Sony made quiet news when it reentered the arena of phones with its range of Android-based smartphones. We especially loved its flagship Xperia Arc S phone’s 8.1 MP camera with Exmor R lens. With such a powerful camera, the phone managed to click absolutely crisp images even in the dark. A 16X zoom let users click photos even from a distance and its amazing 3D panorama sweep functionality and other photo editing features make this camera a powerful option.
