The best-selling MacBook by Apple has been updated with two new latest everyday notebooks and 11 and 13 inch models. The industry leader MacBook Air is now available with faster flash (nearly 45 percent faster than the previous models and nine percent faster than the traditional hard drives), powerful graphics, 12 hours of battery life and more portable and durable designs, as quoted by Philip Schiller, Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing. With the power-efficient fourth generation Intel Haswell line of Core i5 and Core i7 processors, the MacBook Air is expected to give up to 12 hours of battery life and 10 hours of iTunes movie playback to the new 13-inch notebook whereas, the 9- inch will sustain till 9 hours of battery life and 8 hours of iTunes movie playback. According to Schiller, the updated MacBook Air will be equipped with the new 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard. And it will be 40 percent faster for gaming and graphics intensive apps because of its new Intel HD Graphics 5000. Both the models will be available for retail purchase from Apple Stores at $999 and $1099 for the 11-inch and 13-inch models, respectively. These purchases can be made from June 12 onward, as specified by Schiller.
