There are already laptops that use the Haswell micro processor available in the market. Apple was the first of the block with its new MacBook Air. Apple probably managed this because they have just incorporated the Haswell chip into the MacBook Air. Which isn’t so bad actually since the ultrabook was already one of the lightest and with very good battery life. Sony has released the Vaio Pro. A truly amazing machine and while it might not last as long as the MacBook Air’s 12 hours, it weighs in at only 1.06 Kgs and with its carbon fibre body looks just as good if not better! Alienware, the Dell subsidiary known for its ridiculously powerful machines has unveiled the Alienware 17. This is a magnificent 17 inch laptop and lasts longer than any other 17 incher that I have seen so far. The Alienware 17 is very expensive though. The most surprising of the first laptops and ultrabooks to incorporate the Haswell chip has to be the MSI CX61. While it is pretty slim and light, it certainly will not last all day. And yet, it is really powerful, can manage the latest games since it is sold with the latest nVidia graphics processors built in. At 38,000 Rs, the MSI CX61 is pretty amazing value for money.
