A Galaxy S4 Active teaser video was released highlighting the S4 Active’s water-resistant features. It will be available online and in retail stores from June 21. IP67 certified water and dust-resistant, the Galaxy S4 Active’s features and specs include a scratch-resistant 5-inch 1920×1080 TFT display, runs Android 4.2.2, powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, including 16 GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 4G LTE radio, microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards and a 2600 mAh battery. Other hit features include; AirView allowing the user to hover their finger over pictures, links, files, skip songs in the Music app, check for notifications, while driving, and automatically answer a call on speakerphone and text for instant preview without touching the screen. Eraser Shot allows removal of any unwanted background distractions from photos and videos. The Samsung Smart Pause feature can stop a video if the user looks away from the smartphone’s screen. An additional integrated IR controller will turn the device into a universal remote control and program guide. AT&T will start taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 from June 14 at $199.99.
