The HTC flagship smartphone, HTC One, is expected to have a massive 468 ppi resolution. Looks like HTC’s putting a lot of thought and work into the quality of display. While we’re waiting for HTC to lift the lid off the HTC One, here’s a comparison of its Butterfly smartphone’s screen quality with that of the Sony Xperia Z. The screen calibration analysis of the HTC Butterfly’s screen reveals almost perfect scores, which means it represents colors and white as close to perfect. The 5-inch Sony Xperia Z has a resolution of 1080X1920 pixels and is a full HD display. But the first full HD display phone, the HTC Butterfly or the Droid DNA, has a much better screen. Keep the two phones side by side and you can see how, even though the Droid DNA has lesser brightness, its contrast ratio of 1153:1 is much higher than the Xperia Z’s 570:1. Especially when viewing the screen under direct sunlight, its display is clearer than that of the Xperia Z.
