HTC and Verizon are coming together to release a brand new smartphone, the Droid DNA, exclusively on Verizon’s network. This new smartphone would be available starting from November 21 and will run on the high-speed 4G LTE network. The launch of this new phone is timed perfectly, giving consumers a new option to pick up during the holiday season. The Droid DNA features a 5-inch touchscreen and is powered by a 1.5 GHz processor. It’s got an 8 MP rear camera and comes with inbuilt software that reproduces sharper and clearer images. The front-facing camera in this phone has a resolution of 2.1 MP, making video-calling and clicking self shots also more enjoyable. You can even capture video at 1080p using the phone. The Droid DNA will run the latest version of Android, the Jelly Bean. You can also expect excellent sound quality on this device, as HTC has partnered with Beat Audio to provide much better sound experience. What’s most exciting about this phone, however, has got to be the 440 ppi resolution screen, giving it a HDTV-quality display. The exclusive offering that is the Droid DNA is designed with a black soft-touch back cover with red metallic fittings. It’s all of 4mm thick and also has wireless charging using a special charging platform. You can pick up this phone from Verizon at a price tag of $199.99 for a two-year contract.
