While I am slightly inclined Samsung for its sleek look and its hands-on applications, I guess, this Motorola entrant has beaten the Samsung Note 2 in the game. Here is why I believe so. Now if I would care to invest in a smartphone, I would surely look for something that does not drain out on its battery while I am on an all-important conference. Despite understanding that a battery could have limitations, breaking my piggy bank for a high-end phone would escalate my expectations, nevertheless. While the Note 2 comes vested with 2100 mAh battery that made me happy, the Droid’s 3300 mAh made me happier! Even on 4G network, it lasts eight tiring hours besides letting me talk 21 hours at a stretch! To get this from my Note 2, I would need to shell a few bucks for an add-on extended battery. The Droid RAZR MAXX HD is a killer when it comes to looks. The Gorilla Glass, scratch resistant feature and the Kevlar material that shields the Droid against drops—too good to be true! In fact, on dropping it on my lobby—made from granite sheets, it did not once let me drop a tear. Yes—it is water resistant too! However, an earlier favorite, the Galaxy Note 2 is (eww!) too plastic to look at and comes with no water-resistance promise. While the Samsung Note 2 amazes me with its 5.5-inch screen, I do admit my difficulty in carrying it in my pocket. The Droid RAZR MAXX HD, at 4.7 inches, makes for an easier grip and fits fine into my Mango jeans. When I plug in my headphone to my Note 2, I admit that I am impressed. However, the Droid left me dazed! The phone comes alive while watching a video with its superb sound and again scores one-up over the Samsung wonder. The Samsung Note 2 offers awesome software to boast of but the Motorola platform —MotoBlur, indeed blurs out our vision that Samsung tops charts in terms of applications. The winning stroke perhaps comes with the price- I got the Droid RAZR MAXX HD on Verizon $199.99 on-contract. I remember shelling out $299.99 for Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Both prices are on contract. Does the winner need declaration even now? I have made my mind up. You?
