Pichai released a statement in February during the MWC 2014 that the company is unlikely to launch the next Nexus smartphone until the second half of the year, clearing speculations that the smartphone may be released as early as June or July 2014. Android watchers have guessed six confirmed features of the smartphone based on leaks and clues offered by its immediate predecessor, the Nexus 5. LG is the default manufacturer of the Nexus 6 as the company has delivered exceptional results with the Nexus 4 and 5. However, the passage is not that easy as Lenovo and Motorola are also in the race. Lenovo-Motorola are still to present a base model for the next Nexus, while LG has showed two possible templates – the LG G Pro 2 and LG G3. The Google Nexus 6 is expected to be available in a standard – thin, light and bezel-free front panel. Also, the device would have a 2K screen resolution along with Quad HD display rendering. The flagship smartphone would be powered by the 64-bit octa-core processor with the Snapdragon 805 or 810. The device would also feature the latest Adreno graphic engine and 4GB RAM. The Google Nexus 6 is expected to be having up to 16MP rear camera along with other advanced features, including optical image stabilization and bigger and faster lens. The Nexus 6 is likely to feature either Android 4.5 or 5.0 labeled with Lollipop, Lion Bar or Key Lime Pie. The upcoming device is expected to be available at an attractive pricing, and industry experts believe that the company would not price the smartphone above USD400 for the 16GB model that will have LTE access.
