About two weeks ago Google dropped the price for the LG made Nexus 4 smartphone on the Google Play store. The Nexus 4 16 GB is now being sold at 250$ down from 350$ and the Nexus 4 8 GB has been discontinued. This is a clear indication that Google is clearing up some market space for the impending Nexus 5 release in October. In response to the drop in retail prices for the Nexus 4 handset BestBuy has had to decrease the trade-in value of the phone since it was more than the new retail price! The Nexus 4 trade-in value is now from 157$ for an almost perfect handset to 67$ for one in poor condition. The great news for anyone with a Nexus 4 8 GB is that both the 8 GB and the 16 GB are valued the same. The Nexus 5 is expected to be revealed some time this October at a special event. The new Google operating system, Android 4.4 KitKat launch is expected to be on the same day. The Nexus 5 specification have not been revealed as of yet but it is expected the phone will run a Snapdragon 800 quad core processor paired to 2 GB of RAM, have a 13 MP camera and possibly have a front and back made of Gorilla Glass!
