Google Nexus 7 is on a roll in Japan and it has stole the grounds from the tablet market ruler, iPad 4 as far as shares are concerned.  As per a survey conducted in 2,400 consumer electronic stores in  Japan, one of the most tech savvy country in world, 44.4 % market share was grabbed by Nexus 4.  The largest Business daily of Japan, Nikkei has said that 40.1% market share is taken by Apple’s iPad. From the stats it is clear that Google nexus 7 is the reigning champion in Japan in the tablet battleground. What is working most in Nexus 7 favor is its cost. The Tablet $100 less than Apple’s least expensive tablet, the iPad Mini. The stores are also facing shortage of iPad Mini which again might have contributed to the plummeting of Apple’s market shares. Tablet sales in Japan were 3.6 million units in 2012 and this is expected to swell to 4.9 million in 2013, according to figures from IDC Japan that Nikkei cited.
