343 Industries has revealed the complete details of its Halo 4 ‘Forge’ along with all the weapons, shields and details of its various components which would be part of its latest edition. Touted to be the most expensive game till date, one finds out the details…  If you have practiced your designing skills well on the Halo: Reach Forge maps, now you have the opportunity of trying something more exclusive on Halo 4 – Forge modes which has been recently revealed by 343 Industries. The game which would be exclusively released on Xbox 360 will feature three new maps in the Forge mode and a levy of weapons, vehicles, etc., many of which have been revealed before. As most of the gamers would know, Forge allows you to construct a series of unique setting with obstacles, edifices and scenarios set by the gamer themselves. First seen in the Halo:Reach version, it has been upgraded as per the modern gamer’s enhanced requirements. The latest version features the following modes which include Ravine, Impact and Erosion. While Ravine features the setting of a portion of Requiem, which is harbored with protective structures, Impact offers the scenario of an observation outpost set up for the site of a meteor collision. Erosion offers a new site which is being considered for resettling of human colonies. You can check out the video of the Forge modes at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOJ5lqXXtpU. Besides, 343 Industries has also announced the War Games Pass which includes Map Packs including the Crimson Map Pack (due in December 2012), Majestic Map Pack (February 2013 release) and Castle Map Pack (slated for April 2013). It is part of the Halo 4 Limited Edition but will come at an additional price of 24.99$ for others. The Crimson Map Pack will have a series of three maps including Wreckage, Harvest and Shatter. The Majestic Map Pack includes Landfall, Monolith and Skyline maps. Castle Map Pack consists of Daybreak, Outcast and Perdition map packs. The game is the biggest and most expensive game made till date – a fact confirmed by its makers, Microsoft Studios chief Phil Spencer. The studio head has confirmed that the company has a lot riding on the game and its related ventures which include an online web series, a book franchise, comics, toys and merchandise, among others. A rough estimate puts it as a $3 billion enterprise which was initiated by Bungie before being taken over by 343 Industries in its latest edition. The takeover also prompts a higher expectation from Microsoft which is behind the latest efforts. The company has invested a good amount of its efforts on promoting the game and developing it into segments titled the ‘Spartan Ops’ which would b released in weekly installments. Halo 4 is also one of the most anticipated games of 2012 as well. Though it has crossed the 1 million mark on the pre-order list, it is touted to beat its rival, Activision’s ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ which is currently holding the number one position on the list. The game is preparing for a November 6 launch and one does hope that it will raise the standards of the industry and create a new level of gaming paraphernalia for times to come!
