Online UK retailer Clove has initially carried out testing on a few units of the smartphone, discovering that in some cases it booted in Safe Mode instead of launching normally. The retailer has been quoted saying that “Due to this we have opened some more to test and can confirm that this occurs on a number of handsets, and is not isolated to any particular batch or IMEI range. In fact one from a box delivered to us by HTC may be affected whilst the rest are not.” Clove said that the issue is not very serious and can be easily fixed. The retailer added that the issue can be fixed by just pressing down the power key before pressing Restart. If the issue still persists, remove the microSD card, then go into the phone’s Settings; from there, select Backup & Reset > Reset phone > Erase all data.
