A new report has now provided more information related to the tablet’s design, specifications and pricing. While the Google tablet from HTC has been named as the Nexus 8 so far, however, the new report has some different claims.  The Android Police has reported that Google is working in association with HTC for the manufacturing of a new tablet codenamed Volantis or Flounder having a screen size of 8.9 inches.  The report also claimed that the tablet is likely to have a pixel resolution of 2048 x 1440 with a pixel density of 281 ppi. It would also be equipped with a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor under the hood, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage capacity. The handset is also likely to sport an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), stereo front speakers and LTE connectivity. The tablet would be made up of premium zero-gap aluminum.  The 16GB Nexus 9 model is likely to have a price tag of USD399, while the 32GB version would cost USD499.
