However, Nexus fans can now calm their minds as Sundar Pichai, Google’s SVP of Android, Chrome and Apps said that the internet search giant is all in plans to keep the Nexus brand alive, together with the Galaxy S4 and HTC One. At the D11 conference, Pichai said, “The goal with Nexus was to push forward hardware with partners. That will continue as well.” Comparing the costing, the Nexus 4 is available for a price of $299 on the Play Store for the 8GB version, while both the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One with Nexus user experience will cost $649 and $599. Pricing of the device is a great reason why consumers flock to Nexus-branded devices. Also the fact that whenever Google takes out an updated version of Android, it hits Nexus devices first adds a point in its court. However, Samsung and HTC offering devices with ‘Nexus user experience’ will also offer those features but with a price little bit more than Google’s own Nexus 4.
