HTC Thunderbolt saw light of the day on March 17th 2011 and as a surprise to many had Andriod 2.2 for an OS. It did get upgraded to 2.3 in the month of September but since then it is in deadlock. It was reported on the Twitter account of HTC that HTC Thunderbolt may soon get upgraded to delicious Icecream Sandwich (Andriod 4.0) which would be a treat for many thunderbolt users. In a response to the curious tweet of one Thunderbolt user, the @HTCUSA account said, “ICS will be here soon,” adding, “Thanks for your continued patience!” And patience here is a key, as there is no telling what HTC’s exact idea of “soon” really is The sad news is that the phone would never get upgraded to android 4.1 and is no longer available on Verizon. As far as specifications of the phone are concerned it has 4.3 inch WVGA display and is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor. It has 768 MB of RAM in its closet and the rear and front-facing cameras weighed in at 8MP and 1.3MP respectively.
