These whooping figures were announced by Google’s video hosting service recently. You Tube has opined, “If YouTube were a country, we’d be the third largest in the world after China and India”–as they showcased their monthly viewership figures which were equivalent to those of 10 Super Bowl audiences. With just eight years of operation behind its repute, You Tube is becoming more and more indispensible for its viewers and content developers who prodigiously use its services. The You Tube brand, services thousands of channels and numerous advertising campaigns on its website. The figures released by Google reveal that over 4 billion hours of You Tube watching, have provided global video watchers access to goofy cat videos, advertisements and Psy’s “Gangnam Style” music video—among many others. Generation C or the contemporary generation of multiscreen users are logging in to You Tube from their smart phones, tablets, PCs and laptops. This is further increasing the viewership on Google’s web hosting channel. As more and more viewers learn how to watch video content on their terms and in their own time, You Tube continues to provide hours of entertainment, information and fun.
