Display: One of the biggest disappointments with the iPad Mini was its rather low resolution screen of 1024X768 pixels. But, if rumors are to be believed, in the next version, this gap between the iPad and iPad Mini will be bridged with the iPad Mini 2 also getting a Retina Display upgrade, bumping up its resolution all the way to 2048X1536 pixels. Tech specs: iPad 5 is rumored to be smaller than iPad 4, while keeping the screen size same. Also, the device could be powered by Apple’s A7 processor. The iPad Mini 2 might not get thinner, especially if it’s getting the Retina Display screen, but we wonder if we could get to see more storage space in it. Pricing: We can expect the iPad 5 to be priced between $399 and $499 when it releases, while the iPad Mini 2 could get more expensive or be priced at the same range than its predecessor due to the Retina Display. At $329, it isn’t exactly a whole lot more affordable than the iPad but we doubt if that would change. Release date: While both these tablets were expected in March, Apple’s been busy with a lot of things, like designing the iOS 7. So yes, the soonest you can expect the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 to launch would be by October this year.
