The Wall Street Journal has recently reported that Apple has been hiring hundreds of new engineers and supply-chain managers to speed up its iPhone production in Taiwan and China. It has even been reported that Apple is employing engineers from rival smartphone maker HTC Corp. Analysts believe that Apple is aiming for more product releases similar to its competitors like Samsung. Apple has been quoted in an email received by the Wall Street Journal saying “Apple is building an engineering team in Taipei to drive new iPhone product development.” iPhone 6 is expected to include features, such as 4-inch and 5-inch screen for a smartphone and phablet selection, bezel-free design, remote-user interface and sapphire glass. However, people will have to wait for an official announcement by Apple regarding the release date and specifications of iPhone 6. Looking at Apple’s historical trends, the company launched the iPhone 5 and 5s/5c on the third Friday of September. So the company is most likely to continue with its trend and is expected to launch its latest flagship smartphone on September 19 2014.
