After creating much buzz in the American market just before its launch in India, Ford Eco SporFt now gets SUV of the year award in Brazil. The car has been on sale in Brazil for quite a long now. All set to get rolled out in March 2013, the SUV would have award winning 1.0 litre Eco Boost Engine under its hood. The unique thing about this engine is that even being smaller in size with only three-cylinders, it is as powerful as a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine. The engine gives upto 118bhp at 6,000rpm along with the peak torque of 170Nm, which makes Ford Eco Sport one hell of a powerful car. The car also comes in Diesel option. It houses the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine which is being used Fors Feista for now. The most impressive feature of Ford Eco Sport is its safety and comfort features such as airbags, push button start and keyless entry, Traction control, ABS, EBD, 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, Hill Launch Assist, 560-litre storage area with rear seats folded, under seat storage at the front, cooled glove box and various others. It is being considered that Eco Sport would be priced lesser than Renualt Duster most of its content is locally made.
