Tech pioneer John McAfee has been hospitalized in Guatemala where he was detained. He was reportedly found unconscious on the floor of his cell. The Guatemala authorities have detained McAfee as on the pretext of murder of his neighbor. He soon would be deported back to Bellize. Press followed Mc Afee as he was rushed to the hospital on a gurney. His limp body was eventually shifted on the bed. When the hospital staff began removing his suit in front of the media, he requested them not to do it in front of media. Since morning McAfee has been complaining of chest pains. The doctors were predicting that he might be having a heart failure. But later on the hospital authorities declared him fine and he was taken back to the detention centre. They told ABC News, “They found no reason to keep him overnight.” In a phone interview overnight, McAfee told ABC News, “I simply passed out, everything went black.” He said he hit his head on the floor when he collapsed. McAfee explained that for the past 48 hours he hasn’t eaten and had very little to drink. McAfee’s attorneys hope to continue delaying the deportation by appealing to the Guatemala’s high court on humanitarian grounds. Read more about John McAfee and his life here.
