The company is likely to launch the devices during the IFA 2014 trade show scheduled to be held in Berlin later in 2014. Meanwhile, the company has not yet launched the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact, and some are assuming that the company is likely to launch the Xperia Z2 Compact and Z3 Compact just months apart. In such a scenario there is a possibility that the smaller Z2 should make an imminent debut, or the company could get away with the launch of the Z2 Compact altogether and push forward with the next-generation instead. There have been rumors that the Sony Xperia Z3 would be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor along with a hefty 3GB of RAM as well as would be equipped with a high-end rear camera (likely a 20MP shooter).
