The company earlier disclosed that it will launch the next-generation smartphone in the second quarter of 2014, and it has recently sent out event invitations for the event scheduled to be held on May 27-28. However, the invitation did not specify name the LG G3, but it is highly anticipated that the smartphone will become official then. The upcoming smartphone is likely to be equipped with a range of latest and advanced features and specifications, including Qualcomm’s latest quad-core mobile processor and a mind-blowing screen resolution. The smartphone is likely to be having a screen size of 5.5 inches as well as a whopping Quad HD (QHD) resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Additionally, the smartphone would be having the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with a hefty 3GB of RAM. It is also likely to be equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. Meanwhile, the next-generation smartphone would operate on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The recent images give us idea about the device’s purported rear design as well as front side. The smartphone would feature a centered power/volume key placed just below the camera. It is also rumored to be having a dual-LED flash as well as an IR blaster near the camera. All the above mentioned specifications and features are not confirmed at this point.
