The past couple of months have seen an influx of a number of quad core driven smartphones in the Indian market. Micromax Canvas 4 and the smart iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 are the latest in this range of handset. Techies are now bracing themselves for the arrival of yet another model in July –the Xolo Play T1000. The position of Micromax, the undisputed leader of the lot seems to be threatened by the arrival of the features and attributes of these phones. The pre order for Xolo Play T1000 is underway. It is being reported that this handset bears certain specifications which are similar to those of Micromax Canvas 4 –which are a 5-inch IPS display, 1280×720 pixel resolution and a slick aluminum outline, PowerVR SGX544 graphics engine, 1.2GHz Mediatek Cortex A7 quad-core processor, Android v4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded to 32 GB if required. It also comes with Smart Pause features, video playback and other gesture control features. In contrast , the Xolo Play T1000 boasts of 4.7-inch IPS HD (720x1280p) display, Android V4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS and OGS (One Glass Solution) screen technology along with 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 416MHz 12-core GeForce graphics engine and 4GB internal storage. It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. It remains to be seen whether Micromax will retain its leadership or be toppled over by the upcoming Xolo Play T1000.
