The update is currently available at no cost to users who are already using Microsoft’s latest Windows 8.1 operating system. Apart from bringing new enhancements and features, the update will also result in improving support for keyboard and mouse. Microsoft has been quoted saying on its blog post that “The Windows 8.1 Update delivers a collection of refinements designed to give people a more familiar and convenient experience across touch, keyboard and mouse inputs. It also brings improvements for business customers, really accelerates opportunity for developers and enables device makers to offer lower cost devices.” The Windows 8 received lots of criticism, and the subsequent Windows 8.1 was launched to fix the issues, but the latest update is likely to bring in significant improvements. The update is scheduled to roll out gradually.
