The visualized concept image of new Apple smartphone, iPhone 6, shows a phablet in the making that will compete with other similar tablet-smartphone hybrid available in the market. The image has been visualized by creative Simone Evangelista and Ran Avni, who showed the device being equipped with a 5.5 inch screen display. The phablet-like smartphone is also imagined to feature long volume buttons similar to that of iPad Mini’s, according to Concept Phones. The body is also appearing similar to the design of iPad Mini but is wider and more elongated than usual. Additionally, the device will have very slim screen bezels. It still has the presence of the Home button that most likely embedded with TouchID fingerprint sensor. Apple has still not disclosed any official details regarding the specifications and features of the new device. It has been long rumored that the iPhone 6 will come in two variants with different screen sizes. One will have a 4.7 inch screen size, while the other will be having a phablet-style 5.7 inch screen. However, both the versions will feature the faster and better A8 processor, and the upcoming iOS 8. The release date of iPhone 6 is likely to arrive in June 2014 on the occasion of Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers’ Conference alongside the upcoming iOS 8. However, it is expected to be postponed as a result of the recent release of much cheaper 8GB iPhone 5C. Meanwhile, other reports have been showing that the new handset will be launched in September or October 2014.
