It has been earlier reported that the company is getting rid of its Nexus line-up in favour of a new Android Silver Program. This indicated that there will be no release of any new Nexus device, but the latest report differs on this claim. A report by Ausdroid read “The dispute surrounding whether Google will this year release another Nexus phone this year has apparently been resolved. A source within Google who is close to the project has advised Ausdroid that Google is indeed looking to release a new phone in the Nexus line later this year. It can be argued that the Nexus program is still essential to developers, offering a cost-effective device that carries the latest hardware, including sensors which Google wishes to include in the latest version of Android. The Google Nexus 6 is likely to be equipped with a quad HD screen display with a pixel resolution of 1,440 x 2,560, a 64-bit processor and a 16MP rear camera. It is also expected to be having a 5.2-inch full-HD, curved LCD display, Corning Gorilla Glass, Snapdragon 800-series chipset, 3 GB RAM and 4.5 Lollypop.
