Nokia’s announcement of the Lumia 822, a low-end smartphone with Verizon, may be an effective strategy on its part to gather up some numbers. At $99, we hope it manages to sell enough units to rake up some profits that the Finnish company dearly requires. The Lumia 822 has a 4.3-inch display with an 800X480 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and an 8MP rear camera. It’s got 4G connectivity and even supports wireless charging. But what makes this phone even more attractive is the multiple color options it comes in – black, white and grey. It’s a very affordable phone for those looking for a 4G-enabled phone, and might just be the key to regaining Nokia’s lost ground. Next up on offer is Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 enabled Lumia 920’s launch, which is expected to come out on Verizon exclusively starting November. Let’s hope these two devices can help Nokia win back some of its old customers that it lost to Android devices and iPhones.
