Reports are coming in that the invite Samsung has sent out asking people to Save the Date October 24 could well be the date of a grand launch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in the US. While the invite doesn’t mention anything about the phablet, CNET says the image of a stylus gives it away. This invite could well be for the event to be held that will unveil the Korean manufacturer’s next generation smartphone-tablet hybrid. Some retailers in the US such as Verizon Wireless and AT&T are likely to stock up on the phone. At the same time, Sprint and T-Mobile have already announced its arrival. U.S. Cellular has even said that they will start selling the Note 2 in October. The Samsung Galaxy Note II is a 4G LTE-enabled phablet based on the Android Jelly Bean platform. It will come in capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Note 2 is going to debut in the UK on October 1. In the UK, the phablet will be available at Samsung store in Stratford, London. It will also be available through carriers and third-party retailers. The pricing and contracts would depend on where customers go to get the device. With Clove, the 16GB device is priced at £528 inclusive of VAT. The shipping date is slated for early next week and it’s up for pre-order on their official website. In the US, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the 16GB version of the phablet, will be priced at $299.99 through U.S. Cellular. In India, the Note II it is tagged at Rs. 39,900.
