The FCA has been quoted saying in a statement, “Digital and, in particular, social media are now becoming the media of choice in many cases for customer communications and specifically for financial promotions. We see positive benefits from using social media but this has to be based on compliance. Hoebel invested several hours searching satellite images from his home in Tonawanda, New York. Based on his research, he claimed to have discovered an outline of the plane underneath the Indian Ocean. He claimed to have discovered the plane in one piece beneath the water off the northeast coast of Malaysia, which is exactly the same location where, at one time, the rescue teams were searching the missing plane. The company is still to officially release its Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 in the coming months, but users are enabled to nab the developer preview for free with the use of the Microsoft’s App Studio program. It has been rumored that the company is likely to launch the smartwatch in multiple screen sizes and designs this fall. We’re expecting its launch venue to be London and the phone would be available in red, black, white and cyan casings through Verizon in the U.S. markets. Samsung Galaxy SIII is all set to get Jelly Bean Update in the coming months. As reported by the PC Mag users will receive Android 4.1 over the air or as a download via Kies. The update will also include new features for TouchWiz, the Samsung-developed user interface. However the date of the update is still not confirmed. Meanwhile, Samsung said it has integrated its AllShare technology into the ESPN ScoreCenter app....

Apple surprised the world with a 128 GB iPad 4. The iPad 4 with new retina display would hit stores on February 5. Apple has launched two versions of the tablet, one id for $799 and is strictly Wi-Fi and other one comes with broadband connectivity for $929. Phil Schiller, Apple’s marketing chief, gave a little pep talk for the launch of the 128 GB iPad 4 version.

Although we still have no clue as to when we would finally see Apple launching the next generation iPad and iPad Mini tablets, we’ve kept ourselves busy digging through these 34 new patents to see which of them could be implemented in these upcoming devices. An interesting finding we came across was about an improved battery life for them. There’s also information on an interface between iOS and iTunes designed especially for multitouch devices....

Looking Into The Patent As per the Apple patent, devices will be designed to accommodate a new area for handwriting input towards the bottom of the device screen. The scribbled text will then be converted into a digital format that users can see on the screen. This area for handwriting input will also accommodate shortcuts for adding space, return, keying in numbers and addition of punctuations. All these will appear on a narrow bar below the space for handwriting....

However, IDC has indicated that this shift may not be permanent as the iPad Mini could help Apple pull back some of its customers and regain the lost market share. The only drawback could be the steep pricing of their 7-inch offering in the tablet market. The high price puts the iPad Mini all by itself as competitors have already started offering price cuts on their models. Barnes & Noble brought down the price of the Nook Tablet to $159 for the 8GB model and $179 for its 16GB model....
