DLCs for console games are well known. The idea that DLCs can generate more profits does not however affect the company and its affiliates. As has been said by the art director and director of the game, Pokemon DLC is not going to happen anytime in the near future. For now though, the implementation of DLC however cannot be totally ruled out. There are numerous ways of catching a shiny in the Pokemon X and Y game. Poke Radar is the most commonly used method. Once you obtain Poke Radar after defeating the Elite Four, the shiny Pokemon can be encountered in the tall grass. Another method is to breed a couple of Pokemons that come from separate geographical regions, the egg from the couple has a good probability of becoming a shiny pokemon.
