Frank Gibeau, President, EA Labels, made his statement saying that the firm is working on to modify the gaming engines used to build current-gen consoles that it hopes will improve the company’s titles for various iOS and Android devices. He further added that all forthcoming tablets and phones will have the same graphics in games as Xbox 360 or PS3. With this, it appears that future variants of FIFA, Need for Speed, Real Racing and co. will run efficiently on an iPad or Nexus device, same way as they run on a HD television. Expected to roll out a revised version, the firm, we hear is also working on to improve ports of console classics, getting rid of uncomfortable control systems based around virtual D-Pads. Gibeau revealed that the firm is redesigning the game altogether. He added, “You have to re-architect it around touch, voice, camera. Our teams are having a lot of fun with that, reimagining an experience on a tablet using the same graphics and assets in some ways, but completely remixing the meal. Same ingredients, completely different meal. That’s kind of the way we think about it.”
