After making rounds in FCC Samsung Galaxy Grand has now made its appearance fervently. Yet another big screen phone to join the Samsung smartphone bandwagon, Galaxy Grand sports a 5-inch screen.  The phone also has a dual SIM version called Galaxy Grand Duos. The launch of the siblings was announced on Samsung’s official blog post. The blog said that Galaxy Grand Duos would see the light of the day first followed by it single SIM variant. This latest offering from Samsung’s hive has a WVGA TFT screen and has (Andriod 4.1) Jelly beans spilled all over it. This smartphone runs on a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and has 1GB RAM. The looks of the phone are borrowed from Galaxy S3 and there is an 8MP camera with LED flash, while there is a 2MP snapper on the front to enhance the video call experience. It comes only in 8GB version but the memory can be extended to 64 GB thanks to its micro SD card. The device would give you full day run with a monstrous 2,100mAh battery. Running internet on the device would be a breeze as you have 3G, 2G connectivity coupled with Wi-Fi. The extra features like Direct Call, Smart Alert, Popup Video and AllShare Play make the phone even more endearing. Galaxy Grand Dous have similar features in addition to two slots for sim-cards. The post on Samsung’s blog said, “It is possible to receive calls on one sim number while taking a call from the other, ensuring efficient management of personal and work commitments without ever missing a call”.
