Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1: With an all-plastic body and a 10.1-inch screen having a resolution of 800X1280 pixels, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is a sleek and attractive tablet. It is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 processor and 2 GB of RAM. Available in 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB variants, there’s a microSD card slot included as well. A 5 MP rear camera and a 1.9 MP front-facing camera give this tablet quite a bit of photo-power too. But the newest upgrade gives the Galaxy Note 10.1 an S Pen. The S Pen has found a lot of takers ever since Samsung started off the Galaxy Note phablet with this feature. Its precision makes it a perfect assistant to let you literally take notes on the tablet. The floating touch capabilities also give an enhanced user experience. And the world follows suit – with every passing day, new apps exclusively for S Pen devices are also rolling out, so users can do more with their S Pens. Microsoft Surface Pro: The Surface Pro runs on the full fledged version of Windows 8 Pro, making it just as effective as a regular laptop, only with a much more portable form factor. Sporting a 10.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1920X1080 pixels, it’s definitely got better viewing capabilities than the Galaxy Note 10.1. The Surface Pro is powered by a dual-core Intel Core i5 1.7 GHz processor and 4 GB of RAM, so you can multitask as much as you want. With 64 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot, it offers ample storage space to users as well. There’s a 1 MP front-facing camera but no rear camera in this tablet. But even though it lacks the Galaxy Note 10.1’s USP of the S Pen, it does run Windows 8, so you can use Office and many other Windows applications even when on the move. Apple iPad 4: This one occupies the top slot as the most popular full-sized tablet, but we think its position is slowly slipping. Its 9.7-inch screen boasts of the highest resolution of 1536X2048 pixels among these 3 tablets. The iPad 4 is powered by an Apple A6X dual-core 1.4 GHz processor but just 1 GB of RAM. Running on iOS 6, it is fitted with a 5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front-facing camera. But there’s no S Pen here, nor is there Office – however, it does have the distinct advantage of having the most number of apps on offer.
