The Galaxy S4 is all set to be in your hands—but minus the Exynos 5 chip. The latest Exynos 5 Octa was launched at the Consumer Electronics Show, in January. In technical terms, the processor was defined as a quad-core chip and classified as the Exynos 5410—with eight cores. On the threshold of the much awaited launch of Galaxy S4, there are rumors that the version in North America will be launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip–though the UK models can still await the Exynos Octa with a 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 and 1.6GHz Cortex-A15 cluster. However, the last reports from New York state that The UKN version will be powered by the Qualcomm’s S4 Snapdragon 600 chip. Well, you may ask what the big deal is. The Snapdragon 600 is equally powerful –but then the disgruntlement would obviously linger for some time because of this last minute changes by Samsung Inc. According to James Bruce, the lead mobile strategist from ARM, the Exynos 5 Octa uses the little architecture which is equipped to address the fundamental problems of the processor and provides greater efficiency.
