Android Authority claims to have found some dirt on the upcoming Galaxy S5 or some other next-gen smartphone in recent patents filed by Samsung. The future devices from Samsung could have flexible displays, a brand new camera technology and possible even a curved body. Samsung has already given us a sneak peek into the flexible display earlier this year at CES 2013, so we can possibly believe that bit of information. But Android Authority has shed further light by stating that this technology could detect how the screen is bent to adjust the output image accordingly to get the best possible quality. The flexible display could also be bent in a concave or convex manner in order to zoom in or out of the content on the screen, similar to the pinch and zoom feature. But what we’re more eager to learn about is the curved smartphone patent. This overall curving could potentially give us better viewing angles on the smartphone, while making it even more comfortable to hold in our hands. Another patent filed by Samsung is around allowing users to ‘turn pages’ on e-books, to give a more real-life feel on the device.
