The model number SM-G906S for Galaxy S5 Prime completely makes sense as the model number for the regular Galaxy S5 is SM-G900. This comes despite a recent announcement by Samsung that the company is not scheduled to launch any such device from its production lines any time soon. The mysterious device has been termed as a certified phablet having a screen size of 5.2 inches with an amazing pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440 or almost double the number of pixels found on the original Galaxy S5 model. The device is also expected to have a 1080p display as well as a 2K front panel that uses Quad HD rendering. The upcoming phablet is expected to be powered by a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 805 having a top speed of 2.5GHz.Experts believe that the 805 chipset is a much better powerhouse than the Qualcomm 801, which is equipped into the regular GS5. The G906S is to be equipped with a minimum 3GB of RAM or more, and the graphic engine is expected to be the default Snapdragon 805 GPU partner. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S5 Prime will boast a 15.8MP main camera along with a 2MP front-facing shooter. The device is to have 32GB of the basic internal storage with a memory expansion slot that is similar to the specification of the regular GS5. The SM-G906S would have Android KitKat 4.4.2, and will be having a premium metallic casing as mentioned in the earlier leaks.
