Starting off in the Korean manufacturer’s German branch, there are reports that Samsung has sent out press invitations slated for October 11 for something that as per Google Translate means, “That’s how large and small can be”. However, on being asked to comment, Samsung refused to say anything. This smaller version is believed to have a 4-inch display, with a 5 MP camera. It might also be cheaper than Apple’s iPhone 5. Samsung recently paid Apple $1 billion in damages on claims of patents’ infringement. But that’s clearly not stopping the Korean maker from coming up with innovative devices. In the first quarter of this year, Samsung bagged the top spot and shipped around 93.8 million devices. Between May and August, the Korean maker had 25.7 percent share in the US smartphone market, while Apple has ticked up 2.1 percent, before its iPhone 5 hit the market. Currently, Samsung and Apple are fighting in court in various countries all over the world. According to a court filing, the firm is challenging the jury’s decision made in August because, the company says, Velvin Hogan, jury foreman did not disclose he had filed for bankruptcy in 1993 and had been involved in a lawsuit with his former employer, Seagate. So in case the speculations are true, will you be waiting to bag a smaller Galaxy S III? Share your comments with us.
