Considering its features, the Nexus 7 2 is expected to feature a 7-inch low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) panel, which is produced mainly by AU Optronics (AUO). AUO is the same firm that has the order for Apple’s iPad Mini 2. Two days ago, yet another report in DigiTimes claimed that Elan Microelectronics is on track to ship touchscreen controller ICs for the next Nexus 7 iteration. Apparently, it is believed that Google will roll out around 1 million Nexus 7 2 tablets before the end May. It’s also speculated that the number might touch the mark of eight million before 2013 ends. However, no specific release date for the Nexus 7 2 has been announced. If the tablet hits the shelves in July, Apple should be prepared for some tough completion for its iPad Mini 2. Does the idea of the Nexus 7 2 interest you?
