First to notice is the screen size where Samsung Galaxy S5 has got a 5.1-inch screen with 1920×1080 resolution and Sony Xperia Z2 is featuring a bit larger 5.2-inch screen, having the same resolution of S5. For the onlookers, S5’s AMOLED seems to be more brilliant in terms of contrast, color and viewing angles. However, Xperia Z2’s is not so far behind with their Live Color LED offering better backlight as well as deeper colors. Coming to performance, it can been seen that Sony Xperia Z2 is falling a bit short to the Galaxy S5 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3 GHz quad-core. S5 boasts of the Snapdragon 805 2.5GHz quad-core, which seems to be a bit more faster. However Z2 features a 3GB RAM and for S5 it is 2GB. Next, the camera of Xperia Z2 is 20.7 MP whereas S5 features only a 16-megapixel rear camera; however, both deemed to be capable of offering clear and sharp snaps. Altogether, there a bit more wait left for the critics to see whether Samsung S5, with its brand value and user acceptance, will take away the Xperia Thunder or not?
