With this decision, Google will delete users’ list of friends on its Latitude app. The services that Google is resolute to take down include Google Latitude in Google Maps for Android, Latitude for iPhone, the Latitude API, the public badge, the iGoogle Gadget and the Latitude website. This news came few days post Google’s decision to shut down Google Reader, which supported various application used to serve news and information to users. Amidst the decision to shut down its services, Google also announced taking out a new version of Google Maps for the iOS and Android users, touted as version 7.0.
