The company claims that the device can be used for browsing and for talking for up to 10 hours and 13 hours respectively on a single charge. And endurance tests have shown that the phone can go up to 48 hours without needing to be plugged in. But here’s how you can make your battery last longer and delay charging. Reduce your screen’s brightness: While a bright screen sure makes colors come alive and look more vivid, it drains out your battery considerably. For normal use, it’s better to keep your screen’s brightness to as low a level as you feel comfortable. The lesser the screen’s brightness, the longer your battery lasts. The Auto Dim feature: Activate the phone’s Auto Dim feature to reduce the screen’s brightness automatically when websites are loading. You can do this through the Internet app’s settings. Stay away from Live wallpapers: While the animated wallpapers look quite cool, if you’re looking for energy efficiency, you’re better off picking a static image as your phone’s background. Keep your connections turned off until required: Switch off your phone’s Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS until you require to use them. This will prevent the phone from actively looking for connectivity during idle time and ensure that your battery lasts longer. Monitor all running apps: Check out the battery usage of all the apps that are running on the phone. Close the apps you don’t really need which unnecessarily keep running in the background and drain your battery.
