Google is planning to hold a press event in July to announce its next-generation Nexus 7 tablet, being built by ASUS, the current OEM supplying Google with Nexus 7. FCC labels specify the tablet to be a Nexus device with most specs revealed. The next generation Nexus 7 will be model number K009, powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Napdragon Pro processor with Adreno Gaphics, included by a rear camera which is expected to be a 5-megapixel shooter. Though the screen size is not listed, the 3950 mAH battery is similar to the 4235 mAH found on the current Nexus 7. Rumours report an improved 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Enhanced connectivity with a WiFi and WiFi + 4G LTE option will make it comparable to the iPad mini and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 in the small size tablet category. At $229, the price is predicted to be a little higher than the original. It is also reported to be the first device to run the latest version of Android with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The announcement of Android 4.3 is expected to be made at its press event. This model is likely to be launched on July 30.
