Both systems are evenly matched in many respects and should be able to usher in the next generation of gaming that Nintendo’s Wii U hasn’t been able to deliver. The Xbox incorporates the x86 processor, which allows you to switch from a game to an entertainment app with absolute ease. Xbox One & PS4: Toe-to-toe Memory The Xbox One utilizes 8GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. So does the PS4 Microsoft’s HDMI Pass-Thru The Xbox connects your cable or satellite box to your Xbox One. The HDMI pass-thru enables you to watch TV through your Xbox, which makes switching inputs seem almost pre-historic. The PS4 uses a standard HDMI port out & a Digital output (optical) port. Blu-ray experience Xbox One allows you to play games & watch movies on blu-ray alright, but the PS4 brags about its BD/DVD (Read Only) slots in 6 CAV & 8 CAV respectively.
